Rolodex Printing and Other Questions

Dear Michael,

1. We need to do print summaries from the Rolodex because we are trying to clean up our rolodex from the recent conversion. We need to sort the cards by card type (client, attorney, dc, etc.).
Using the Rolodex Filters, What sort of statements can I create to show: just the client cards, just the attorney cards, etc...?

2. If you have multiple employers and insurances on a client card, how would they be picked up on the Med-Legal Forms?

3. How would we get a list of all individuals that have a certain business attached (eg. If we want a list of all Drs in the system with Medical Group X)?

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Michael Lerner

ANSWER -
The easiest way would be to click the binoculars to Search. Then under Search By, click Details. Then enter in the type and/or any other parameters you prefer. A1-Law displays the number of found cards. Then, click the printer icon on the toolbar (right click it to preview).

2. If you have multiple employers and insurances on a client card, how would they be picked up on the Med-Legal Forms?

Let me know which form you would like. You may specify a GetParty to select which parties will show up on the form.

3. How would we get a list of all individuals that have a certain business attached (eg. If we want a list of all Drs in the system with Medical Group X)?

This answer is the same as for your first question. Just click the binoculars and enter in the FIRM (ie: medical group) instead of the TYPE. You may also enter a CITY as well as the firm so that you don't get the doctors for the medical group in all cities if the group has several locations.

Great question and I'll bet a lot of people are not even aware of the Detailed Search which is easy and powerful. Makes me think about discussing this feature in a newsletter.

Michael:

something else I forgot to mention, I am working on a Rolodex Consolidation Wizard which will be extremely powerful and helpful in cleaning out duplicate entries as well as entries that don't make any sense. The timeline for completion of this project will be within about a month or sooner.
