Hi Mike,
All the terminals have been getting an error message several times a day. While working in A-1 & attatching a card to a case, a box comes up which displays the directories on our server & it prompts us to open a folder. When we cancel out of box or click the x on the top right corner a pink box comes up which reads
GENERAL ERROR
Error 52
Message No table is open in the current work area
Message 1
Program CC_240_CCMAIN.PGFBASE1.PAGE2.CNTBASE1.CMDADD.CLICK
Line No 36
Describe the Error
The only way we know how to resume working is to END TASK & renter A-1
Do you know what is causing this?
Leslie

Re: General Error message
Yes - I do know what is causing this problem.
First, you should know that the latest update on the web site fixes this problem. Basically, it is a minor bug and only happens when you click the Injuries Tab at the client card and THEN click the Parties tab and add a Firm (doesn't happen when you search by client, only when you search by firm).
You may download the update right here on this web site and install it even while everyone is in the system. But, if you are using Terminal Server and others are in it, you will get an error message when it tries to copy the file when you run the program. Just click Ignore to continue to run A1-Law. The update will not successfully install until everyone is out of Terminal Server but the prior version you have now will run. Once everyone is out of Terminal Server, the update will install. This is because A1-Law will try to copy the file locally but Terminal Server shares the same file. For more information about the bug fix, see March 22, 2002 #4 item at:

Re: General Error message
Are you able to create the error at will? Is there a sequence of steps you can do which will create this error? I'm am working on something that may be similar and I will know more later today. Try and find out if it only happens after clicking the Injury sheet and then going to parties and then adding a firm.
Let me know and I'll keep you posted.

Re: General Error message
Mike,
That appears to be the only time it happens, when I go into INJURIES then to PARTIES & attatch a party.
