Form Letters

Dear Michael and fellow A1 users,
I came across an interesting situation with form letters I would like to share.
When we first started using form letters about 3 months ago, the spacing (P button) was determined by a typed decimal amount: .174 for single spacing, .348 for double spacing. I have noticed in the last 1 1/2 months of letter creation that some letters now use a spacing where you choose single space, 1 1/2 spacing, or double spacing.
Since we use templates and copy/paste parts of one letter into another as needed, I was working on a new pleading where the spacing alignment wasn't coming out properly. After checking the spacing I found that I had a "choose a spacing" paragraph mixed in with the "typed decimal amount spacing" paragraphs.
I tried to copy the wanted paragraph to a Wordpad document first then copy the Wordpad documentation over, but the paragraph type spacing remained.
Somewhere during this process I saved the document and got an error message where where it wiped the document clean.
I had to re-create the document, then print out and type in the wanted paragraph.
*Strange no? If anything, I learned that before you make major changes to a document, it always helps to *Copy the Document* to an empty form letter slot (Edit Letters Tab - Right-Click on the Printer Icon in the lower left hand part of the Window, Click on Copy this form letter, Type in the Number of the blank spot to copy the letter).
Is the only way to have just one type of paragraph settings is to start fresh? Suggestions?
Thanks for listening.
Sincerely,
Michael Lerner
