Undelete A1 EMail + Move Delete Button

#1

Post by LMSSC » Thu Jul 16, 2009 4:04 pm

Dear Michael,

Thanks again for your help here and over the phone. We really appreciate it!

I please need to know if/how:

1. If a user in A1 Email on the New Email (tab) accidentally clicks on the Delete (button), is there a way to un-delete it?

2. Would it be possible to move the Delete button below and farther away from the Read and Write (buttons)?

When things get busy accidental Email Deletes sometimes occur.

Thanks again!

Try RIGHT clickihng the Delete button.

Yes I'll make a note of it and in the meantime consider clicking Tools, My Preferences, Mail, Confirm When Deleting Mail and set it to YES and it will confirm the delete.

Dear Michael,

Thank you so much for the information. The steps you gave pulled up some very important emails we thought were permanently gone.

*Is the "Confirm When Deleted Mail" something that can be made a global option? (for Configure System Default - General - Email (tab))?

We did find one problem with the Recall Recently Deleted Mail (window). Instead of sorting by the complete date (last date on top), it instead only sorts by the month (and perhaps the day)... without accounting for the year.

So if you had the following dates: 12/05/2009, 5/11/2007, 8/05/2008, 12/04/2005, 9/22/2005

Instead of this - In order of complete date (latest first):

12/05/2009
8/05/2008
5/11/2007
12/04/2005
9/22/2005

It shows up like this: (Sorted by the month.. and perhaps the day):

12/05/2009
12/04/2005
9/22/2005
8/05/2008
5/11/2007

Thanks again!

Glad it helped - eventually I plan to totally overhaul the A1 Email and make it a lot more flexible after I have completed work on the Transfer Utility which will allow remote syncing. Also, at present you may also drag and drop Outlook Emails from the Inbox or Sent Mail right to case activity.

Thanks again,
Mike

The delete button has been moved. See the web for other features in the latest version including automatic attachment of Outlook Emails sent from within A1-Law.
