Electronic Signatures

#1

Post by Prosser » Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:17 pm

Our office has gone paperless. We no longer make copies of A1Law forms or documents that we send because we save the forms, etc., in case activity. This means we don't have a copy of our "signed" document unless we scan it into A1Law. However, we really don't need two copies of the same document. It isn't a major problem for us but when we use something that we've sent as an exhibit, we don't have the attorney's signature on it. We could possibly use a signature stamp or have the attorney sign it again. Know it may sound far fetched, but is there anyway to get an electronic signature on the letters/ forms that we have saved in A1Law?

One way would be to simply use images in Word or Word Perfect with the signatures already there. Check into Digital SIgnatures with Adobe as you may be able to just convert the document to Adobe and not have to do a rescan at all.
