Hi, Mike -
All of a sudden, when you tried to IM someone, it said "no one is logged in at this time." I got out of A1, and when I go sign in again, I get "Fatal Startup Error. Someone may be using the staff file exclusively." For those people who didn't get out, their case activity screen completely changed format and they cannot access IM. The few of us that got out of A1 can't log back on.

My IT guy and I figured it out. For some reason, one of the Staff files in A1 was deleted. I don't know how that happened. Luckily, he had backed it up. Once I put the missing file back in to the A1 data directory, it worked.

FYI - I did reboot serve, but it didn't work. That is when we located the missing Staff file. It listed it when the server came back up as missing.

I'm glad the problem got resolved. Please check for viruses if something got deleted. Also, A1-Law automatically makes a backup of these critical files as well in c:\lawlocal\backup.
