Updating with Re-registration of Workstations

#1

Post by Michael Lerner » Thu Aug 07, 2003 9:17 am

Dear Michael,
If a workstation doesn't re-register properly (for whatever reason - lack of user rights, etc.), what file/folder needs to be deleted from the workstation so that the next time A1 runs it will detect a new version and re-register again? Also, what is the command line code to register a specific file? I remember you answering both questions about a year ago but I am having difficulty finding the exact topic.

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Michael Lerner

Hi Michael

You may delete the C:\lawlocal\station.ini file to have A1-Law reregister all the controls. However, the last version that needed to do this was 4.7.6a as indicated on the web. You may click Start, Run, REGSVR32 C:\WINSYS FOLDER\MyControl.ocx to register a specific control.
