Now that our office is going full speed with A1, more questions have cropped up:
1. A CLIENT card is changed to a RS (Referral Source) card at the Parties sheet Type (Case Specific) for a particular case. How would we include that referral in a Report since it is listed as a referral just for that particular case?
2. How are titles pulled into form letters? Does the getparty command automatically pull titles? Other commands? How would you just pull the title?
3. If you delete a user account from the system does it effect the Case Activity and other entries the account has created in the system? If a person is replaced is it better to change the old user account with the new information or delete the old user account and add a new account?
4. Is there an easy way like Mail Tracker for entering fees/liens?
5. Is there any way to edit the name of a form letter before it is saved? Can I give the user privilages to edit just the saved form letter name? (I think this may be included within the Edit Templates Privilage, but I am not sure)

Click Search For A Case and enter RS for the Card Type. However, in doing this test I discovered a very minor bug - the RS at the Parties sheet must be in upper case (I'll fix that in the next minor release).

The title of what? The title of the form letter? Here's the commands to pull the number and the title:

It makes no difference but you need to probably go to Tools, System, Global Reassign so that you may Reassign the New User all of the old users Tasks and/or Calendar Events and/or Staff Handling for any given case. For example, it's possible if BBB quits and CCC is hired to say assign all paralegal handling to CCC instead of BBB only if HHH was the handling attorney otherwise assign III as the paralegal. Etc. etc. Be VERY CAREFUL using Global Reassign - be sure to have a backup before doing this. Naturally, it's only available to those with the master password.

For multiple cases - the mail tracker is the easiest way.

I think you mean how it is saved in case activity. When editing the title of a form letter - look for the Style in Case Activity post information and change it to PROMPT.

Tools, System, Configure Staff Defaults, Security. Check the Form Letters / Individual, uncheck Form Letters / Template. Be sure to download the latest version - there was a minor bug in the previous one. You may install this even while everyone is in A1-Law.
