Unable to open EAMS forms

one of the computers here are unable to open EAMS forms from the A1 law menu. It is a new problem that just seem to start on this workstation. when clicking on an EAMS form, it just says Loading please wait, but nothing happens. it just hands. law doesnt freeze or anything, but the pdf never comes up. adobe doesnt open. made sure adobe was still working and it was. you can still open pdfs and adobe opens just fine. i even uninstalled and reinstalled it to see if that could hopefully help, but it didnt. what can we do to fix it. oh yeah, also did "register controls" from A1 just as another troubleshooting option. but it did not work.

Try restarting the computer and if that does not work then go into Adobe Acrobat Reader and click Help, Repair Installation.

tried it and it didnt work. i dont think its an adobe installation issue because i uninstalled and reinstalled it. adobe alone seems to work fine, it just seems when it comes to opening eams forms A1-law. i seperator sheets open just fine because it opens seperately from a1 law in its own adobe window. it seems to be an issue where the forms get pulled from the EAMS server. because it hangs on the part that says "please wait a1 law pdf application. after relizing the form will never open, we click out of it. so you can still use a1 law, its just seems that the form just never gets downloaded. as another trouble shooting option, we tried to open it after disabling windows firewall. that also didnt work

It is most likely an Acrobat issue. Try opening up Internet Explorer (not firefox or another browser) and then taking an Acrobat PDF file from your desktop or my documents folder and "drag and drop" it to Internet Explorer and see if you can view the PDF in Internet Explorer.

thats what i just tried to do and internet explorer never opens. also, another interesting note i just discovered was i tried to see what the security settings were set to, and the "internet options" in control panel is missing. the icon is just not there. could the computer be infected?

i the computer isnt acting oddly, except for ie not opening and the missing internet options from the control panel

If IE is not correctly opening then try going to Microsoft's website and update to the latest version of IE that your computer will accept.
