Update download

Mr. Appell-

Thanks for all the advice on Word integration, now my problem is a little more routine: I can't access the ftp site for updates. It refuses anonymous logins and I don't have a username and password. Thanks in advance for any help!

To get the latest version, please go to the following link and download all the files into the A1Law\Extras folder:

Click the link above - for some reason, it's not quite working properly when I set up the linke in a frame at the Download link page which I'm working to correct.

Please Email me at appellsoftware@aol.com for the password.

Dear Michael,
I have some questions about the 4.2.5 Update.

1. There are now 3 files (a1fix.lib, ter32.lib, & toc.ocx). Are they all to be copied into the Extras folder?

2. The new a1fix.lib file is 7.71 MB which is smaller than the older 4.2.3 a1fix.lib file was 8.1 MB. Does this reflect moved features or?

Thanks!

Sincerely,
Michael Lerner

Hi Michael:

Actually, there are 4 since I have just added one more. Yes, copy them all to the Extras folder. The other 3 files (excluding a1fix), are not mandatory. They are very minor bug fixes to the case activity in RTF format. You may Right Click on the case activity and click RTF to view case activity in this format.

2. The new a1fix.lib file is 7.71 MB which is smaller than the older 4.2.3 a1fix.lib file was 8.1 MB. Does this reflect moved features or?

The latest compilation is smaller and that is fine. It includes everything in version 4.2.3 and more.

I am unable to figure out how to update my A-1 Law. I have version 4.00. The directions say I need at least a 4.03 or later to download the latest. When I try to download anyway they say could not login to the FTP server with the username & password specified.

Questions: Can I download the latest version on line when my present version is only 4.00? I need to know how to do this either on line or by disc.

What is my Username?

What is the password?

Hi Mike,
I'd like to download the most current version & I sent you a couple of e-mails over the past 2 weeks so that you could give me the password. I've received no response yet. Please remember that we have 2 offices so I need to know if the same password will work on both. Also, I think I read somewhere that your about to release another version any day now; if that's the case, I'll just wait until then.

Thanks,
Leslie

Please address ALL Email correspondence to appellsoftware@aol.com It would appear that you sent the Email to appell@appellsoftware.com My web host provider has had some problems with their Email system since they have done their upgrade a few weeks ago. This has nothing to do with my company and I did not receive the Email you sent. As indicated on my homepage at my website, it's always best to send Email to appellsoftware@aol.com. The information has recently been sent to you.

The order in which I receive information is as follows:

1. I first receive all information from this support forum.
2. I next receive information from my primary email at appellsoftware@aol.com
3. I next receive information from my secondary web email (but the last few weeks they have had some ongoing problems)

Hope that helps,
Mike.

I can't get into the ftp site from ie 5.01 even by using the link in your reply but I can from Mozilla 1.0, just an FYI.

I have IE 6 and I'm not having a problem. I would suggest that you check to see if this is a problem on all your machines or just that one machine. You could also try upgrading to IE 6. Have you recently tried getting into the ftp site?
