I ftp'd the files to my PC and then used file transfer from PCanywhere to put them in the client's A1law\extras folder. I got alerts indicating I was overwriting files so I know the files are there.
I checked for local upates and it processed the file but said my version was 4.0.8 and the current version was the same.

What is the date of A1Fix1.lib in the a1law\extras folder on the network? It cannot be the same as the one you downloaded.

Everytime I attempt to download the latest update I get the screen that says "This page cannot be displayed." The last time I did an update, in early April, I had no problem.

I must be missing a step because I have not been asked for a login name or a password, which I know.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

It should ask you for a username and password which I believe I gave you via Email (let me know if you did not recieve it).

You may access the site directly by clicking on the link below:

If it still does not work, try another computer or try reinstailling internet explorer or check with your consultant. Otherwise, if you have remote access via DSL, I can access your computer directly.

Mike.

Apparently a few people are having this problem while others (including myself) are not. I believe it may be a setting in Internet Explorer. Please let me research this problem further and I'll get back with you asap with a resolution.

I have verified that it is definitely a setting in your internet explorer. However, I have been informed that this may be a workaround until you get the setting fixed:

Go to this link:

Then when it says Page can't be displayed or error or whatever, Right Click on the page and click Login As and then enter the Username and Password.

If the above action does not work then do the following:

1. Be sure you have the latest version of Internet Explorer. Click Tools, Options, Advanced and check the box that says "Enable Folder View for ftp Sites." If that does not work, uncheck it and try again.

Finally, if none of the above works, consider an alternate ftp program like WS_FTP or CUTE FTP which may be readily found with a Yahoo search.
