Dear Michael,
Our office needs an option that would allow us to choose the printer to use before we printed out Tasks, Reports, and Prospects (allow a choice of which printer driver to use rather than using the current default print driver automatically).
The default driver we currently use has our first page coming out on Bond paper and the second+ on copy paper. We want the tasks, reports, and prospects to use the copy paper driver (so we don't waste bond paper). Currently if we want them to print out on copy paper we have to go to (Windows 2000) Start - Settings - Printers - Change the default printer manually to the "copy paper driver" - Print out what we need in A1 (task, report, prospect) then go back and switch the default printer back to the "first page bond driver".
Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!
Sincerely,
Michael Lerner

Re: Printing Needs - Tasks, Reports, Prospects
P.S. For the time being, is it possible to set one of the Programs menu to open up a folder rather than a program outside of A1? How would you do so?
(System - Configure System Defaults - Program Menu)
Thanks again!

You should be able to Right Click on the printer icon on the toolbar and select Printer Dialog. This will then allow you to select the printer you want and/or change the properties for that specific print job.

Dear Michael,
I noticed that some of the function use "Prompt" (Tasks) and others use "Print Dialogue" - but bring you to the same screen. Is there a difference between these two?

My fault - you are correct - prompt and printer dialog are all one and the same (and so is clicking File, Print). I usually try to be consistant.
