editing court forms

I would like to make the court form for obtaining a DEU rating default to the Oakland Disabiltiy Evaluation Unit and have the defense attorney pulled up along with the carrier. At this time, it pulls the carrier and we have to input the venue of the DEU. It is possible to do this?

Sure, you may automatically pull the venue of the DEU as long as they are attached at the parties sheet. But, I would like to know the form number so that I know which form you are referring to so that I may assist you further.

In general, you may insert ANY default information from a case into ANY field on ANY court form. Although, this may require some knowledge of creation of form letters, that's okay because you have that and usually this question is asked a user learns about form letters.

Let's say the court form is a DOR. Edit the form and at the top (of the form letter itself, not the DOR) enter:

courtform,Debug1

Then save the form. Now, whenever you print a DOR, if you click to a field, A1-Law displays the field contents in the upper right corner so that you know what its name is. But, you can't move the mouse or the information disappears (which is okay). Next, you just use the fieldname commands to fill in default information or check boxes. For example,

fieldname = Serve1a,SEE ATTACHED DECLARATION OF SERVICE

would automatically insert that language in the DOR every time you print it. But, you may still change the defaults before printing a specific one if you want.
